Review: Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser

After Christmas, my skin went crazy. Long story short, I've got dry patches, horrible acne, and a whole slew of other stuff. Thankfully, I've found some products that are helping to get the Skincare Armageddom problems under control. One of those new products is Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser (bad picture, I know).

Neutrogena's Naturals line is fairly new, and it's purpose is to provide your skin with what it needs, while being mostly natural. This particular cleanser only has two ingredients that aren't naturally derived. So yes, it does have a few chemicals in it, but compared to many, many other cleansers on the market, that's amazing! It also contains Willowbark extract, which is a natural source of salicylic acid, my favorite anti-breakout ingredient.

Ingredients:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance

Can I just say that this is wonderful for my acne-prone, sensitive, combination skin? It washes away all of the oil and makeup on my skin (I use it morning and night), it doesn't dry out my face, there's no irritation, and I think it really helps my acne. My skin looks much clearer, and I love the light grassy/citrus scent.

Two weeks ago, I was at my best friend's birthday sleepover when I discovered that I didn't bring my face wash. So my friend opened up her skincare cabinet (she has enough skincare products to rival a dermatologist) and told me to pick something to use for the night and morning I would be there. I picked this, thanked her, and dutifully washed my face both times with it. When I went home in the afternoon, my skin looked really smooth and a little clearer. I knew this was due to the cleanser, and I ended up buying my own bottle the next day.

All things considered, I love this cleanser, and the fact that Neutrogena is striving to be more environmentally friendly (the bottle is made with 50% post-consumer recycled materials).

                                                          Price: $6.00
                                                          Performance Grade: A+
