I feel that I owe my readers an apology: Not only did I not put up any new posts this week, I also still haven't finished posting the new skincare reviews that I promised I would post. Please accept my sincere apologies. I promise to try to do better.
There are a few different reasons that I haven't gotten around to those things. For one thing, I'm pretty behind on my homeschooling because of my health issues. I'm almost caught up, but there's still a lot more to do. But fear not: I did manage to squeeze in a few minutes to take some blog pictures. First up: Sephora Precision Pore Cleansing Pad.
Remember those L'Oreal Go 360 Clean cleansers that come with a scrublet? Well, I tried them a few years back, and experience really bad breakouts and sensitivity from them. However, I loved that scrublet! So you can imagine my excitement when I recently discovered that Sephora sells an almost identical silicone scrublet for $5- without the cleanser!
So how similar is the Sephora scrublet? Borderline identical. It has the exact same bristles, both being the same length, but I think the bristles on this are a bit more gentle. It's the same color as the scrublet that comes with the pink L'Oreal cleanser as well. The only difference I've found is that this is slightly bigger, and the suction cup sticks to my mirror better.
I use it by wetting the pad with a small amount of my favorite cleanser (bonus- the pore pad allows me to use less cleanser than my hands). Then, I just move it around on my face and neck in small circular motions for two minutes. By the time I rinse off all of the cleanser's lather, my skin is smooth and soft. That's just the short-term effect: The long-term effects are even better. My dry cheeks aren't as flaky as usual, I have way fewer blackheads, and my cleanser bottle lasts longer. I also feel like the scrublet helps my cleanser to get deeper into my pores.
Price: $5.00
Performance Grade:A+
On a completely unrelated topic, do any of you have a home remedy for stomach aches? I have a horrible stomach ache today: I woke up at 5 am feeling like my stomach was turning itself inside out. It got progressively worse from there. Now I'm laying in a recliner, drinking Coke, watching Netflix, and holding a heating pad on my abdomen. That seems to help somewhat.

Good review!
ReplyDeleteI'd try some ginger ale or ginger tea for a stomach upset instead of coke :-)

ReplyDeleteThese cleansing pads are really popular here in asia and it's everywhere! Used to count on these before I got the clarisonic.
Please take care of your health! I guess drinking more nutritious soup would help warm up the tummy and keep it happy. =)
Thank you, Nadya! Wow, I didn't know they were so popular! Thanks for the tip :) I'll certainly give the soup a try.
