Review: Josie Maran Bear Naked Wipes

I love polar bears, and it greatly worries me that they are endangered. So when I saw Josie Maran Bear Naked Wipes on the Sephora website, I immediately added them to my cart, and a week later, they arrived on my doorstep.

From the packaging:

Erase your face, not the polar bear race!

Healthy makeup-removing wipes, gentle enough for eyes and face.

Who doesn't thing polar bears are cute? With their adorable little faces and big floppy paws, cute is an understatement. However, with global warming on the rise, the ice is disappearing under those big polar bear paws. No ice means nowhere to live, and polar bears could become extinct as a result. In suppport of the NRDCs Polar Bear SOS initiative, a portion of every package of BEAR NAKED WIPES sold will go to protect these endangered animals.

Great idea, don't you think? A product that everyone needs, created to be eco-friendly and help the polar bears. Not to mention that these wipes are some of the best I've used in a long time. Soft, deliciously scented, and they work.

These soft, biodegradable wipes are able to remove all traces of non-waterproof makeup, and about 95% of any waterproof makeup. Everything from concealer to eyeliner is wiped clean with no residue left behind-nothing greasy or sticky or heavy. However, I like that the wipes don't dry out my skin, or cause irritation or breakouts.

If you love grapefruit, you have to at least give these wipes a sniff. They smell exactly like pink grapefruit, which isn't surprising, seeing as grapefruit oil is one of the many non-comodogenic oils in these wipes.

INGREDIENTS: Aqua (Water), Cetearyl  Isononanoate, Ceteareth-20, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Ceteareth-12, Cetyl Palmitate,Glycerin, Cucumis Sativa (Cucumber) Extract, Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Gel, Tocopheryl Acetate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Citrate, Phenoxyethanol.

Yes, they're expensive. Twice the price of my usual Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes , for only 5 more wipes. But you know what? They're worth the price, when you consider the fact that they can remove a full face of makeup in less than a minute.

                                              Price: $12.00 for 30 wipes
                                              Performance Grade: A+

    1. That's exactly how I feel! I don't mind paying extra for things if part of the profits go to a good cause.
