For the last few years, my nails have not been themselves. Before, they used to be thick, smooth, and easy to grow without fear of them breaking off. Now, they split, peel, break, and are simply awful. And that's assuming I can grow them out very much at all. I've come to accept that I simply pulled a bad card out of the "good nails" lottery. But around Easter this year, a miracle occurred: I acquired a small bottle of OPI Original Nail Envy. And that's when everything changed.
At first, I could hardly believe my eyes. I'd add an extra coat to my nails every few days, and before I knew it, my nails were growing. Actually growing- No splitting, no peeling, and no breakage. It was great. I was hardly doing anything, and yet for the first time, my nails were long and strong enough that they didn't look like tiny nubs.
Using Nail Envy is so simple! Once a week, I take any existing polish off of my nails, and apply two thin coats of Nail Envy. Every other day after that, I add another (slightly thicker) coat. It doesn't chip, it doesn't accentuate ridges, and it acts as an excellent base coat underneath nail polishes. The results were so great for those few months, that I decided to do a little experiment. I was going to an entire month without Nail Envy and see what happened.
Well, the month is finally up, and I'm glad it's over. My nails definitely were back to their normal selves, so as soon as possible, I need to start using it again. It takes a few days to start seeing the results, but in the meantime, Nail Envy is pretty shiny, so it distracts from everything else.
Another thing I've noticed about Nail Envy? My cuticles look nicer when I use it, too. I can't say why, but they do, so I won't question it.
Performance Grade: A+
(I'd also like to point out that there are other formulas of Nail Envy available. I picked Original since it seemed the most versatile.)
